Since the introduction of electronic cigarettes in the market, debates have been carried out whether e-cigarettes actually help regular smokers in quitting their smoking habit. Even though several have claimed that e-cigarettes have made it easier for them in a great deal to giving up their habit of smoking, doubts have still been raised over the authenticity of such claims.
None can definitely claim the fact that using e-cigarettes have drastically increased around the globe in recent years. Despite the rise in the e-cigarettes sale, several still fail to accept that the e-cigarettes should be used as an alternative to smoking.
Electronic cigarettes were originally introduced as an alternative to smoking. A Chinese pharmacologist and a smoker, Han Lik, set his goal to develop e-cigarette following his dad’s death due to lung cancer. Lik was moved by the disaster and wanted to change others’ lives as well by introducing something in the market that could lead smokers to give up smoking.
The idea was phenomenal, and was meant to achieve success. However, the unwillingness of safe practices authorities along with the ambiguities surrounding the device, it appears as though the e-cigarettes will not remain in the market for long despite their induction only for the good.
According to some reports, using e-cigarettes will astronomically increase if the ambiguities surrounding the usage and safety of the device are clarified. Donna Manders, an avowed tobacco treatment specialist working at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, was estimated as saying:
“Our patients are highly motivated to give up, but they’re confused about the mixed messages of e-cigarettes. Many of them believe the hype that is obtainable, that these must be safe because they’re being sold everywhere. inch
On the other end, Pods the e-cigarette consumers have only encouraging things to say about this technology. Many have clearly indicated that using e-cigarettes have only bettered their life, while several encourage the other smokers as well to use e-cigarettes in order to quit smoking.
Phillip Scott, who smoked cigarettes a pack a day since he was 19, stated that she has effectively quit smoking with the help of e-cigarettes.
“I was tired of smoking excessively, but I was unable to quit. The most I managed without smoking was a week I guess. However, I have now effectively quit smoking, thanks to vaping. inch
Melinda, mother of two and a former smoker, clearly mentioned how vaping changed her life.
“At first, I thought it was yet another trick to force people quitting smoking. However, once I used it, it completely changed my well being. I was looking to quit, but my willpower was not strong enough to keep me away from smoke. Since i started vaping, I’ve started feeling better. I find myself like I’m breathing easily and freely. inch
Although these opinions do not reflect the entire vaping community, it still signifies that e-cigarettes played an intrinsic role in changing their lives, and we can safely assume that vaping helps people in quitting smoking.
